Directions
You will need to hire a car for the trip. There is little or no public transport in the area and only 2 taxis available in a nearby town.
By all accounts the Villa can be tricky to find in the dark, so try not to be arriving too late in the day! Check-in times are between 3pm and 8pm as the Villa does not have a 24 hour reception.

Directions from Rome
Follow signs to the Autostrada A1, direction Firenze. It is about 180km from the tollbooth and will take 2 hours.
Take the exit Val di Chiana at the black and white distance marker 385. When you reach 385, leave the A1 at the exit Val di Chiana / Perugia.
The toll should be about 11.10 Euros
After the toll, bear right following signs for Arezzo.
Go across 3 roundabouts continuing to follow signs for Arezzo.
Drive up a hill towards the town of Foiano. You will pass the Pennymarket supermarket on your left.
Go straight ahead through 2 sets of traffic lights. The Coop supermarket will be 100m on the left after the 2nd set of lights.
Continuing straight through 1 more set of lights, head down the hill, across (the first turning) the next roundabout.
Remain on the road for approx 5-10 mins until you see the "Roxy Bar" on your left. 100m further on there is a small blue sign for a left-hand turning to POZZO. TAKE THIS TURNING.
Continue along this narrow road, past a small church on the left at the foot of the hill, go up the hill and at the top, turn left up a gravelled road signposted Via Cunicchio to Villa Fontelunga. The Villa is 100 m on the left hand side: please park under the pine trees.
When you arrive, walk down the few steps between the Geranium pots and come around to the other side of the main Villa. Its probably not worth bringing your luggage in initially..
Directions from Florence
Initially follow directions for Prato. After approximately 3 minutes, you will see signs for the Autostrada A1. Join the Autostrada in the direction of Roma. Take the exit Val di Chiana about 1 hour from Firenze.
After leaving the Autostrada, follow directions as for Rome.
Directions from Pisa
Leave Pisa airport from the exit adjacent to the car rental parking depot and turn right in the direction signposted Firenze. Follow this road (a dual carriageway) all the way to Firenze. You will eventually, just outside Firenze, come to a signpost for the Autostrada A1 and Roma. Take this turning. Follow the exit off the road and round a bend to the right, you will come to a junction with a tollbooth for the Autostrada ahead of you. Go onto the Autostrada in the direction of Roma, turning off at the Val di Chiana exit following the directions as for Rome. Travel time: 2 hours.
Directions from Bologna
Drive out of the airport following the green signs for the 'A1–Firenze' Autostrada-motorway. Join the motorway in the direction 'Firenze', collecting your ticket from the unmanned booth as you pass
through (the drive is approx. 1 hour from Bologna to Florence). Turn off at the Val di Chiana exit following the directions as for Rome. Travel time: 2.5 hours.
